Aerotek Maintenance Electrician in Culpeper, Virginia

Description:

• Install new conduit, removal of conduit, and ensuring correct wire sizes are installed for proper amps.

• Working inside switch gears, electrical panel, and control panels.

• Operate mechanical tools and equipment as required to fabricate or repair industrial parts and equipment

• Troubleshoot equipment, primary wiring, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, or other mechanical systems.

• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause analysis, in partnership with operations, to solve problems and make improvements

• Provide support of start-up and installation of new equipment to ensure it meets all mechanical design specifications.

• Interpret and reviews loops sheets, electrical schematics, P&IDs, I/O writing, and panel drawings.

• Respond to site equipment and process alarms; troubleshoot and make repairs.

• Maintain prints and records.

• Prepare and complete written communications in strict compliance with all requirements.

• Participate and lead in the instruction/training of new maintenance personnel.

• Maintain a clean work environment.

• Perform assigned duties with a high degree of proficiency and mindfulness of personal safety and that of those around you.

• Work alone or with a facilities or maintenance team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Active License Journeymen by the state

• Proficient with AC/DC voltage and amps

• Prior work experience as a high-level mechanical and electrical maintenance technician

• Knowledgeable in OSHA and 70E NFPA code requirements

• Welding and fabricating experience a plus

• Proficient in operating computerized and non-computerized machines

• Proven talent in troubleshooting, assessing, and repairing equipment

• Must be able to prioritize workloads

• Proven talent in troubleshooting, assessing, and repairing equipment

• Must be able to follow instructions
