Aerotek Marine Welder in NORFOLK, Virginia
Description:
Newport News and Norfolk based Shipyards looking for experienced marine structural welders with 5+ years of experience ideally with marine repair.
Will be responsible for the removal of old metal and welding of new steel plates and beams on ships and barges.
Must have hard hat, steel toes and safety glasses as well as ID to enter the yard.
Tools required for all Welders
1) Shield
2) Stinger
3) Gloves
4) Needle nose pliers
5) Chipping Hammer
6) Weld gages **
7) Wire brush
8) Hard hat
9) Safety glasses ( CLEAR )
10) Steel-toe boots
11) Adjustable wrench 10” to 12”
Skills:
Structural Welder, Shipboard, Stick, Flux, Blueprint, Fabrication, Tig
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years in the marine ship repair field.
