Job Title: TIG Welder
We are actively seeking a TIG Welder to join our team in Monmouth County, NJ.
Shift
7:30AM – 4:00PM (Monday-Friday)
Pay
$20-$30 (Depending on Experience)
Job Description
Will assist in the fabrication of metal enclosures for various research end uses. The ideal candidate must have experience working on light gauge stainless steel .048 - .120 thickness. TIG experience and the ability to work on thin gauge is non-negotiable. The candidate will be responsible for welding on cages and racks, and is required to have strong welding experience as these welds will not be ground or polished after completion. This role requires a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Skills
Experience in TIG welding methods & techniques
Equipment set-up and operation
Assembly and fabrication practices
Layout of structural tubing
Ability to clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind component parts
Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials
Monitor the fitting, and welding processes to avoid overheating or warping
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade
Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly
Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently
