Aerotek Material Handler in American Canyon, California

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating forklifts, including reach and sit-down models, to manage materials within a food manufacturing environment. Your duties will include handling shipments, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining inventory accuracy using RF scanners. You will ensure the safe and efficient storage and transportation of materials while adhering to strict safety and quality standards, including GMPs. Additionally, you will assist in shipping and receiving tasks, checking inventory labels, and ensuring that outgoing shipments meet quality standards.

Hard Skills

  • Forklift operation (Reach and Sit-down)

  • RF scanner operation

  • Shipping and receiving

  • Cycle counting

  • SAP (preferred)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Attention to detail

  • Adherence to safety guidelines

  • Flexibility with work hours

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in American Canyon, California.

Work Environment

You will work in a warm, fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role requires flexibility to work different shifts, including 1st shift (7 AM-3:30 PM) and 2nd shift (3 PM-11:30 PM), with potential weekend shifts. Overtime opportunities are available, requiring availability to come in early or stay late as needed.
