Job Title: Press Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Press Operator to join our team. Your role will involve setting up and operating flexographic sleeve machines in accordance with job specifications. You will be required to monitor and adjust sleeve machines, load and unload cores and finished products, and be responsible for job set-ups and changeovers. Other duties include following job specifications to meet customer and company quality standards, performing quality checks throughout production, toning inks as needed, maintaining a safe work area, and completing production reports. You will also work directly with an assistant to maintain production, quality, and safety goals.

Hard Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to use and read a tape measure

  • Ability to perform basic math

  • Ability to read and write

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work occasional overtime

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Ames, Iowa.

Work Environment

Our company is a smaller, family-owned and operated business with very low turnover. Most of our staff have been with us for over 5 years, demonstrating the loyalty and satisfaction among our employees. We are understanding and accommodating to personal family matters, but we do expect our team to work hard while they are at work. Dress code is steel toe boots, jeans/work pants with no holes, and a t-shirt. We provide PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Our 1st Shift Schedule runs from 5-1, and the 2nd shift is from 1-9.
