Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are currently seeking talented Conversion Technicians and Films Technicians to join our dynamic team. The positions are on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The job duties, though similar for both roles, are as follows: As a Conversion Technician or a Films Technician, you will be responsible for the conversion of micro-prism films, managing material flow to the machines, loading and unloading film, and slitting material to appropriate widths and lengths. Further, you will need to follow all required ISO documentation, monitor machines, make necessary adjustments, and conduct quick quality checks to ensure product conformance. You will also be required to monitor and record pressure and ranges, process work orders in ERP systems, retrieve chemicals and materials needed for the process, and enter requests in Computer Maintenance Management System. You will also maintain documentation of all required machine reports and perform other duties as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Experience in an industrial environment

  • Assembly or Machine Operating experience

  • Trade school experience

  • Ability to manage material flow to machines

  • Experience with ISO documentation

  • Ability to process work orders in ERP systems

  • Ability to retrieve chemicals and materials needed for the process

  • Ability to enter requests in Computer Maintenance Management System

Soft Skills

  • Ability to monitor and make adjustments on machines

  • Ability to conduct quick quality checks

  • Ability to maintain documentation

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Avon, Connecticut.

Work Environment

Our work schedules are as follows: 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm. 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm. 3rd Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm-6:00am. Some overtime is provided, but not mandatory. Our manufacturing floor operates on 3 shifts, operating various types of machines for the conversion of micro-prism films. The environment is very clean, high tech, well lit and spacious. We are currently in the process of adding an additional building that will almost double our size. All employees have access to a gym above the manufacturing floor with a locker room area. Personal Protective Equipment required include steel or composite toed shoes and safety glasses. Hearing protection is required in the casting area.
