Aerotek CNC Machinist in BANDERA, Texas

Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for selecting and pulling the correct tooling for each job. You will use computer-assisted gaging systems to perform set-ups and inspect the material being fabricated to verify the parts are to print. You must be able to read blueprints and have the ability to download programs from a computer onto a CNC machine. You should have basic knowledge of manual machine shop equipment and be able to use measurement tools. You will need to record time on timesheets from reading charts and read work orders and production status reports. Basic computer skills are required along with the ability to access drawings on a server. You will be responsible for record keeping and must have knowledge of hand tools.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in SAN ANTONIO, Texas.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled, so temperatures can get hot or cold. On a typical day, there are 10-12 people on site. The job requires lifting up to 50lbs, handling material with assistance from a co-worker or with a conveyor, and pushing and pulling up to 300 pounds to position material. You will need to be comfortable bending, twisting, and stretching, and be able to stand for long periods of time.
