Aerotek Burn Table Operator in Baxley, Georgia

Job Title: Burn Table Operator

Job Description

The Burn Table Operator will set up and operate CNC Oxy/Plasma cutting machine, use overhead cranes to load/unload steel plates, verify finished product meets engineering requirements, and maintain a clean safe work area. As a vital link in the manufacturing process, the Burn Table Operator ensures that materials are cut accurately and efficiently, contributing significantly to the success of the manufacturing plant. This role requires a strong focus on safety, precision, and collaboration with team members and other departments. Work schedule includes 4-10 hour shifts Monday to Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays.

Hard Skills

  • Prior experience in material preparation or a related field within a manufacturing environment

  • Experience operating CNC plasma/oxy-fuel machines

  • Experience operating overhead cranes

  • Ability to read blueprints (preferred)

  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

Soft Skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good organizational skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Safety consciousness

  • Good housekeeping practices

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Baxley, Ga.

Work Environment

Warehouse not temperature controlled, large fans present with additional installations planned, may require lifting up to 70lbs, involves kneeling, stooping, bending, occasional outdoor work, conditions include shop noise, dust, fumes, and heat
