Job Title: Safety Assistant
Job Description
As a Safety Assistant, your day will start by assisting in safety meetings, providing insights, and participating in stretch and flex activities. You will monitor teams as they break into PODS, observe their work locations, activities, and how they manage hazards. Ensure the documentation such as PTP and JHA accurately reflects discussed hazards, making necessary adjustments. Sign off on documents to confirm your checks. You will also spot check equipment like buggies, trucks, and forklifts to ensure daily inspections are completed. Your role involves traveling around the yard to identify and mitigate trip hazards or housekeeping issues, and maintaining constant availability via phone and WhatsApp for immediate response. Keep essential documents and a first aid kit readily available to efficiently handle any incidents.
