Aerotek Cnc Programmer in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania
Description:
LOCAL machine shop. they support various industries including military contracts and state contracts such as for penndot. most of their jobs are 25-50 pieces but they will get some runs of up to 1000-1500 on a rare occasion. Most of the machines in the shop are Haas machines. there are 74 total employees with only 8 on second shift. 85% of jobs are aluminum and the other 15% are other materials such as galvanized or steel. Ideally a machinist coming in with relevant experience will have set up haas machines, familiar with G+M codes, make some program edits, and tooling change outs. Blueprint reading is a must and flexibility is needed as well. the blueprints are mostly engineered but some are even hand drawn to work off of. Machinists will have to hold tolerances up to +-.005.
Programmers will be primarily only responsible for making programming changes for the machines. experience is needed from past jobs doing similar work. they will also need to assist on the floor as needed. Haas controls is preferred.
Various departments for all work being done including their machining, sheetmetal, laser tables, welders, presses, paint/powdercoat, and inspection.
