Prototype Machinist
Pay: $35-$55 depending on experience
Location: Bellevue
Job Description
As a Prototype Machinist, you will independently construct precision prototype instruments, devices, parts, models, jigs, fixtures, dies, and device assemblies from raw stock and purchased materials. Your role involves designing and modeling instruments, parts, devices, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and assemblies in support of engineers and customers. You will assemble, test, and evaluate devices to ensure they meet the final requirements of appearance and functionality. A key part of your job will be to interface with engineering on design feasibility for machined, molded, cast parts, and assemblies, and advise on material selection using your knowledge of materials.
Qualifications
3+ years of related experience
Experience with SolidWorks/CAM Works
Proficient in programming, set-up, and operation of CNC machining centers and CNC lathes
Preferred:
Experience with CNC EDM
Experience in welding techniques like lead-free TIG/MIG, arc and gas welding, soldering, brazing, sintering
