Job Title: EVS Attendant, Food Services (Dish, Cook or Room Services Attendant)

Job Description

The EVS Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas. This includes inspecting areas for cleanliness during shifts and making necessary corrections. The attendant will follow established guidelines and job standards to maintain facility cleanliness and sanitary guidelines. Tasks include cleaning toilets, basins, showers, bathtubs, walls, furniture, fixtures, doors, stairways, halls, and other related interior furnishings using appropriate cleaning supplies and procedures. The role requires sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and dusting floors in assigned areas, transporting, removing and disposing of soiled linen, trash and bio-medical waste, and maintaining adequate stock of supplies in assigned areas. The EVS Attendant will also participate in Quality Improvement activities, report needed repairs or services to hospital facilities, and perform special cleaning projects as needed.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bend, Oregon.

Work Environment

The EVS Attendant will be based in Bend location with majority of Day Openings + Relief. The day shift runs from 8am to 4:30pm, and the swing shift from 3 or 3:30pm to 12am or 7:30pm to 6am. The role is within the Environmental Services Department (EVS), which is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment throughout the hospital. They clean and disinfect all surfaces, following cleaning standards that support a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and caregivers. Dress code includes black scrubs and non-slip shoes. The attendant will be provided with two shirts and a badge on the first week. If terminated, all property must be returned following shift or the next day.
