Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are currently seeking 2 machinists for our 1st and 2nd shift. The 2nd shift machinist must train on the 1st shift. The machinist will be tasked with indicating, setting up, and running machines. They will also change over tools, adjust offsets, and inspect finished parts with mics, calipers, and gauges. The parts worked on range from 6-10 inches and 50 mm in diameter. Machines being used are Mazak and Okuma, with controls being Fanuc, Mazak, and Okuma. VTL machinists must inspect parts with Bore Gauges.

Skills

• Full set up, multiple tool changes daily

• Experience running complex aerospace parts, multiple page blueprints

• Use of Bore Gauges

• Ability to inspect own work

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

The work environment is a friendly, helpful, and organized manufacturing floor. The facility is bright, clean, and well-lit with nice newer machines. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with the 1st shift running from 7:00am to 3:30pm and the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am. There is a 30-minute unpaid break, two paid 10-minute breaks, and potential for overtime at the end of the shift. Weekend work is not typically necessary, but there is potential for occasional half-day morning shifts.
