Job Title: Assembler (Caulking & Mechanical)

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembler, specializing in either Caulking or Mechanical assembly, and play a crucial role in the construction of both large and small complex parts. This position requires precision and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. As a Caulking Assembler, you will be responsible for caulking operations from start to finish, ensuring quality and productivity goals are met. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will handle a variety of hand/power tools and fixtures to create mechanical metal assemblies and sub-assemblies to exact specifications. Both roles involve diagnosing and troubleshooting defects, interpreting product diagrams/blueprints, and adhering to productivity and quality standards.

Hard Skills

  • Experience with caulking tools (for Caulking Assembler)

  • Experience with hand/power tools, fixtures (for Mechanical Assembler)

  • Ability to interpret product diagrams/blueprints

  • Experience with riveting and glue assemblies (for Mechanical Assembler)

Soft Skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to work in tight spaces (for Caulking Assembler)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude (for Mechanical Assembler)

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 800 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Binghamton, New York.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment and machinery. The role involves standing for extended periods, potentially over six hours per day, and occasional sitting. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. following proper ergonomic guidelines.
