Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking two 1st shift Machine Operators. Your daily responsibilities will include working on 3-axis lathes and Multi-Axis, Twin Spindle lathes. You will interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to machine parts and carry out spot checks, in-process, and final inspection checks on completed parts using various measuring instruments. We also expect you to set up, adjust, and operate all machines, and align and secure fixtures, tooling, and other attachments onto machines. You will select appropriate tools, machines, and materials based on blueprints, engineering drawings, and previous machining experience. Regular maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machines, tools, and equipment is a part of your role. You will record and document in-process inspection data and report any unusual findings to management.

Hard Skills

• 2+ years of Lathe operating experience

• CNC machine operating experience

• Ability to work off blueprints and engineering drawings

• Experience with machine setup, adjustment, and operation

• Proficiency in using measuring instruments for inspection

• Experience in machine maintenance and cleaning

Soft Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with the team

• Attention to detail

• Problem-solving skills

• Ability to report and document data

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bloomfield, Connecticut.

Work Environment

You will be working in a small shop floor with a total of 28 people across 1st and 2nd shift. We are looking to expand both shifts to support our growth. The schedule for 1st shift is Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm, and for 2nd shift, it is Monday through Friday, from 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Aerospace experience is preferred but not required; however, metal cutting experience is a must.
