Aerotek Controls Technician in Bluffton, Indiana

Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician to join our Aluminum cast house team. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the operational efficiency of our facility, where we recycle scrap aluminum into various alloys, melt it down, extrude it, and ultimately produce aluminum billets/logs. As a vital tier 3 automotive supplier, we rely on the expertise of our Controls Technicians to ensure our equipment runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing a range of equipment such as furnaces, extruders, robotics, saws, palletizers, and yard equipment, including haulers, skid loaders, and forklifts. Adherence to all safety standards is paramount, as is the ability to swiftly address equipment failures to meet our production needs. Unlike a Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to handle all PLC work, from troubleshooting to some editing and programming, as well as basic electrical tasks, while mechanical work will not be part of your duties.
