Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Operator

Job Description

We're looking for a full-time Wastewater Treatment Operator for an operations project in Brook, IN. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks ranging from mid-complex to complex based on client requirements. Key responsibilities include daily operations and maintenance of the treatment plant, routine maintenance of equipment, and operating facilities with computer or PLC controls. This role also involves monitoring, regulating, and adjusting process equipment, operating a variety of other equipment, and actively participating in creating a safety culture at the jobsite.

Hard Skills

  • Industrial Maintenance

  • Plant operation

  • Knowledge of pumps, valves and piping

  • Chemical operation

  • Experience in water or wastewater treatment

  • Operation of equipment such as forklift, aerial or scissor lifts, generator, compressors, pumps

  • Basic control laboratory testing

  • Record-keeping

  • Comfort with computers and computer-controlled equipment

Soft Skills

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Ability to apply standard policies and procedures

  • Ability to learn new operating, maintenance, analytical or computer skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 7 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Brook, Indiana.

Work Environment

This job takes place in a wastewater facility. Candidates must have a High School Diploma / Vocational training or equivalent, applicable health & safety training, and typically, 5+ years’ experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, and wastewater operator licenses, though not required, are preferred. Candidates must also have and maintain a valid driver license.
