Aerotek Machine Operator in Brookings, South Dakota

Machine Operator - Benefits from Day 1- Start ASAP

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour!!!

Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available!!

Join our team as a Machine Operator

Responsibilities:

-Setting up, adjusting and operating machines

-Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and accessories.

-Prepare and clean product surfaces, as necessary.

-Sequence automatic machine operations and define setup requirements

-Select cutting tools, and program proper feeds and speeds successfully.

Skills:

-Knowledge of metal fabrication/forming practices and processes

-Knowledge of operating procedures for machine center, laser, drill/mill, lathe, brake press or turret

-Ability to read and understand job specifications, shop drawings and blueprints

-Perform basic math computations associated with metal fabrication

-Experience inspecting your own parts using various dimensional tools such as calipers, micrometers and gages

-Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

-Mathematical aptitude

-Proficient in editing programs and adjusting offsets.
