Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Plant 4. This role involves planning, laying out, performing, and overseeing various work assignments such as machining, welding, electrical tasks, pipefitting, and other general maintenance duties. The successful candidate will install, erect, assemble, level, and align machinery and equipment across the plant or office spaces. Responsibilities also include ordering and picking up parts, making sketches for repair or fabrication, operating shop equipment, repairing and maintaining electrical components, calibrating equipment, and repairing material handling equipment. Additionally, tasks may include snow removal and grass mowing during downtime.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing environment with a Class 1, Division 1 rating, which can be dirty and dusty with potential dust explosions. The plant features 70 feet silos which may require climbing. It is a tobacco-free workplace. Safety orientations and training are integral due to work with 480V and higher voltages. There are two immediate openings for the second shift, which runs Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The position offers a $37.37 hourly rate (including second shift differential), biweekly pay, and a $3000 sign-on bonus. A 90-day probationary period applies, with training likely during daylight hours for one to six months, depending on skill uptake.
