Job Title: Concrete Tester
Job Description
Join our team as a Concrete Tester and play a crucial role in ensuring the stability of construction sites. This position involves primarily field work where you will be responsible for collecting samples of concrete and soil. Your day-to-day tasks will include pushing wheelbarrows, measuring cylinders, and ensuring the correct amount of material is used. You will work independently on job sites, collaborating with concrete contractors to test the concrete used in various construction projects such as footings, foundations, and parking lots. Flexibility in working hours is essential to synchronize with other contractors' schedules.

This is a fully on-site position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Work Environment
Work hours are typically from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, starting the day at the shop. The role requires flexibility to accommodate other contractors' schedules on sites. Dress code includes jeans, T-shirt or sweatshirt, and steel-toed boots. Expect to spend about 90% of your time in the field, primarily on undeveloped sites, and 10% in the office.
