Aerotek EDM MACHINE OPERATER NO INTERVIEW** in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description:

Job Function:

Performs required operations on EDM machines, including:

loading and unloading of parts

part inspection

electrode preparation and changing; (will be trained)

cleans and performs preventive maintenance and minor adjustments of EDM machines

prepares various logs (they call them travelers) and records to document machine operation and daily production

enters required data into computer (basic computer skills)

moves/transports parts to appropriate location as needed (on rolling tables)

maintains safe, clean and orderly work areas

receives, reviews, and /or refers to various records or reports including travelers, shift reports, SOP, safety sheets, etc.;

prepares labor sheets and non-conformance forms

interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals including the immediate supervisor, co-workers, and other shop personnel

Set up and switch jobs as required (will be trained)

Produce more than 98% efficiency on a daily basis (quality is very important)

Maintain an excellent attendance

Verify all parts are conforming before signing off on traveler

Keep track of all scrap and seek corrective action

Breakdown on departments:

Depending on the department they are hired into, they will either operate a conventional EDM machine or a 5-axis EDM machine. Both machines produce similar parts and cooling holes, just in different ways. the EDM machines can be water based, oil based, or wire EDM's. Company custom built these machines for the most part but they are Haas machines just significantly modified.

The parts they are machining are turbine engine aerospace parts and are very expensive so it is important to be very quality minded to reduce scrapping parts.

Requirements:

*Must have High School Diploma or GED - CANNOT START WITHOUT THIS BEING ON FILE IN OUR OFFICE**

Here are the (4) things that are acceptable for education verification:

1) A diploma (not a cert, an actual diploma) from HS or above

2) A GED

3) A transcript

4) A receipt from a school that states a transcript has been ordered, exists and that verifies the person who requested it actually graduated (since receiving the transcripts can take multiple weeks)
