We are looking for a few skilled Brick Masons to help complete a project in Cleveland Heights that'll last until mid-August. We are looking for individuals who can hit the ground running with little to no supervision, who can work the entire duration of their shift without taking unnecessary breaks outside of scheduled breaks/lunches, and individuals who can show up every day until the project is over.

These Masons will be restoring the exterior of a school in Cleveland Heights. You will be working off scaffolding so you will need to be comfortable working from heights.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform masonry duties including concrete finishing, block laying, plastering, and building restoration

• Mixes cement or mortar using hoes, cement-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools

• Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level

• Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement

• Prepares surfaces by cutting and/or grinding out problem areas of walls and floors

• Cuts out, repairs, preps, packs, and caulks joints of walls and floors

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience bricklaying or masonry work

• Ability to work under a variety of conditions, such as confined space (tunnels, pits), heights and hot/cold conditions

• Must be able to use logical step-by-step procedures in working with different materials using a variety of skills

• Willing to meet physical requirements by lifting and carrying equipment (up to 80 lbs. unassisted)

• Required tools: Hand Trowels, Brick Hammers, Mortar tuck pointers

Work Environment/Shift:

• Shift: Mon - Fri 7 - 5

• Outdoors work with exposure to all weather conditions

• Physically demanding work

• Safety guidelines and PPE required for dust, fumes, and noise

• Close proximity to workers/equipment and possible overtime/weekend work

• PPE Requirements: Steel-toed boots, hard hat (company provided), and potentially a respirator (company provided)
