Aerotek MIG Welder- 23/hr in Columbiana, Ohio

Description:

MIG Welder (heavy industrial) | 1st Shift - Monday- Thursday (6:30am-4:30pm) OT on Fridays (9 hour shift) | $19-$23/hour | Columbiana, OH

  • MIG/Stick/Sub Arc weld (3G)

  • Heavy gauge on structrual steel plates 1/16th inch - 2 inch thickness

  • Use Blueprints and tape measures daily

  • Use grinders and saws as needed

  • Utilize an overhread crane at times

  • Required to climb on parts to weld; this is a physical position to climb, twist, bend and lift.

  • Fitting and fabrication

Additional Skills:

  • Nice to have "Run Electric Gas' BIG - Nice to have TIG

  • Ability to weld in all position using 1/16” and 3/32” wire - horizontal and Vertical mostly

  • Will take entry level or straight and train them

  • Successful completion of a hands-on weld test

  • Must possess own hand tools and tool box

  • Working knowledge of industry standards for welding and fabrication including weld symbols

  • Mechanical aptitude using a variety of hand tools and shop equipment

  • Must be willing to perform grinding, deburring, and job duties other than welding.
