Aerotek Industrial Mechanic in Conover, North Carolina

Industrial Mechanics

Job Description:

  • Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot or repair production equipment

  • Installs and repair machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and equipment manuals in industrial environment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools

  • Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Constructs foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, for example wood, cement, and steel

  • Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs

  • Assembles machines, and bolts, welds or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools

  • Responsible for keeping Safety First for you and your co-workers

  • Install, maintain, modify and repair industrial machinery and associated equipment including compressed air, water, hydraulic and vacuum lines

  • Inspect and test components of mechanical systems, including motors and power transmission equipment

  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs

  • Utilize technical diagrams, schematics and manufacturer’s manuals to complete assigned projects

  • Survey equipment systems and plans for estimates

  • Work with minimal supervision

Pay:

  • $28.00-$32.00/hr based on experience

Hours:

  • 7:00am-5:30pm Monday-Saturday

Travel:

  • Must have clean driving record

  • Will be given a company truck
