Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting various advanced hydraulic and electrical systems at the component level on all process equipment for an injection molding company with minimal guidance. As part of a team, the technician will maintain and repair equipment in a high production, fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple electrical and administrative tasks consistently. Plastic injection molding machines, robotics, PLCs, hydraulics, electrical cabinets, mechanical and electrical work, troubleshooting and fixing breakdowns, etc.

Hard Skills

• 480v electrical

• Robotics (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, Whitman)

• PLC troubleshooting

• Cabinet wiring

• Controls wiring

• 480 volt motors

• Variable frequency drives

• Hydraulics

• Schematics (electrical, hydraulics)

• Injection molding or some sort of plastic or molding maintenance in a manufacturing setting preferred but not required

Soft Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dalton, GA.

Work Environment

The facility is clean but only partially climate-controlled, so temperatures can be about 10 degrees hotter than outside due to ovens and plastic melting processes. The environment is fast-paced with ovens, plastic compression molding equipment (Toshiba/Engels), and injection molding equipment for specific projects (Engels).

Pay: $28-$35/hr, depending on experience

Shifts: 1st - 6:00am to roughly 4:00pm

2nd - 2:00pm to roughly midnight

3rd - 10:00pm to roughly 8:00am

Schedule: Monday-Friday with OT on Saturdays as needed. Probably 60-65 hrs a week for the first few months, then it should go down to more like 50-55 hrs a week after they get fully staffed and get this new production project off the ground.
