Production Welder

$32-38/hr, Delta, BC

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Production Welder to join our dynamic team, focusing on TIG welding and assembly of custom kitchen and food equipment primarily for the restaurant, medical, and food industries. This role involves working alongside another welder in a team environment within an open shop area, not confined to a booth. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, assembling and welding stainless steel components (12, 14, 16, and 18 gauge, mostly 16 gauge), and performing mechanical assembly tasks such as bolting, attaching parts, installing doors, hinges, latches, windows, and more. The successful candidate will ensure all products meet specified tolerances and quality standards.

Skills Requirements:

• TIG welding

• Polishing

• Light gauge stainless steel fabrication (5 years experience)

• Fitting and fabricating stainless steel

• Mechanical assembly

Work Environment:

The work environment is clean and organized, operating from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This is a contract position for 6 months with the possibility of extension. You will be working among approximately 44 shop workers, including fabricators, press operators, and laborers. Safety gear required includes a helmet and boots.
