Aerotek Airport Operations Mechanic in Denver, Colorado
Ground Support Equipment Mechanic
Compensation:
$28.50-$33.50/hr based on experience. Note: Must be willing to work either Saturday or Sunday and available for holiday shifts.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Repairing and servicing a variety of ground support vehicles including tow tractors, baggage carts, buses, trucks, and service vans.
Maintaining heavy equipment that involves hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery.
Inspecting ground support vehicles and equipment to ascertain repair needs.
Troubleshooting issues with vehicles and machinery to perform necessary repairs.
Scheduling periodic maintenance for ground support vehicles and equipment.
Keeping a clean and safe repair shop environment.
Tracking inventory of parts and tools required for repairs and maintenance tasks.
Maintaining a detailed repair log for all vehicles and equipment.
Skills:
Proficient use of hand tools and power tools for repairing vehicles and equipment.
Strong mechanical repair skills.
Ability to read and comprehend repair manuals for a variety of vehicles and machinery.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong aptitude to follow detailed instructions accurately.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in mechanic or automotive field
Candidates must be physically able to work on vehicles and equipment, which may involve kneeling or lying on their back.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Candidates must be prepared to work in the outdoor elements of Denver, Colorado for approximately 30% of the time
Shifts Available:
Tuesday to Saturday OR Sunday to Thursday
1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
3rd Shift: 10:00pm-6:30am
