Job Title: Contract Welder

Job Description

Seeking skilled Contract Welders to undertake special projects and catch-up work. Responsibilities include MIG welding steel tubes, interpreting blueprints, and accurately cutting and welding materials based on specifications. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts under a unionized bid system, with typical workweeks from Monday to Saturday, ranging between 55-65 hours.

Work Environment

This facility, part of a larger organization that has acquired multiple entities, employs 190 hourly workers, 35 salaried employees, and between 5-20 contractors or temps. As a union plant since 2020, it produces safety-critical components such as Door Beams and B-Pillars for major automotive clients. The plant features 6 hot stamping lines, 4 blanking presses, 2 Coil Fed Transfer presses, and 23 5-Axis laser cutting machines.
