Controls Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Controls Technician and contribute to the cutting-edge Electric Vehicle (EV) production. With 4+ years of Automotive Manufacturing experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years' experience, you will work alongside engineers in the planning and installation of custom-built, state-of-the-art systems for EV production. Your role involves assembling and starting up new EV Drive Train or other Production Assembly equipment to client specifications at OEM client headquarters abroad. You will utilize precision measuring instruments, read and follow various technical prints, and troubleshoot mechatronics automation equipment or PLC ladder logic. Your responsibilities also include reporting errors, testing, and commissioning equipment alongside end client personnel.

Hard Skills

  • Siemens or other controls experience

  • programming and troubleshooting

  • robotics experience related to Fanuc, Kuka or ABB

  • Mechanical or Electrical Controls Technician experience

  • installing automated machinery

  • programming PLC controls

  • Debugging

  • testing / calibration

Soft Skills

  • Working on a team

  • Customer-facing skills

Work Environment

Working at major Automotive Manufacturer sites, specializing in Electric Vehicle production. Interacting with end clients, so strong customer-facing soft skills are essential in addition to technical expertise.
