Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Our company manufactures ergonomic ladders designed to make fleet vehicles safer. This position involves moving products around the warehouse and in the shipping and receiving department using forklifts (sit-down) and pallet jacks. You will keep production areas stocked and move finished products to be prepared for shipping. You will work off of paper pick sheets, with an upcoming transition to an RF Scanner system. Candidates must be comfortable doing order picking of smaller parts using paper pick sheets.

Responsibilities

• Move products around the warehouse using forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Keep production areas stocked and move finished products for shipping.

• Work off paper pick sheets and transition to RF Scanner system.

• Unload truckloads of material in the receiving area and organize it appropriately.

• Tag materials correctly and bring them to machine operators.

• Receive calls from supervisors to locate and deliver specific materials to machines.

• Receive pick sheets for the assembly area and use forklifts to bring down the correct pallets of material.

• Order pick needed materials, build pallets, and deliver them to the assembly area.

• Assist the shipping department and perform cycle counts during downtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
