Aerotek Inspector in Edgewood, New York

Job Title: Inspector

Job Description

As an Inspector, you will perform layout inspections of aircraft detail parts and assemblies according to manufacturing work instructions and customer engineering definitions. Your responsibilities will include generating AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for customer review and approval, reading and interpreting customer requirements, and potentially being appointed to perform Material Review Board (MRB) Monitor duties. You will also conduct Receiving, In-process, and Final Inspections, generate nonconformance reports, and handle various miscellaneous tasks as required.

Hard Skills

  • Knowledge of GD&T

  • Experience with AS9102 FAIRs

  • Ability to read and interpret Inspection and Manufacturing work instructions

  • Familiarity with specifications for standard catalog hardware (MS, NAS, etc)

  • Proficiency in INFOR; MWI-028: QC Transactions

Soft Skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Edgewood, New York.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM and Fridays from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with every other Friday off.
