Job Title: Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, where you will be responsible for installing a variety of HVAC equipment including fan coils, heat pumps, and more. This role involves section cutting to assemble commercial rigid air conditioning ductwork/systems, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the safe installation of HVAC units and ductwork. You'll work under the guidance of a foreman to foster a team-based work environment and maintain a positive attitude on the job. Additional responsibilities include fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal parts, utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. You will also interpret company policies, enforce safety regulations, and perform additional duties as necessary to meet organizational needs.
Hard Skills
Journeyman level experience in sheet metal
Experience with commercial, residential, and tenant improvements
Experience with split systems, rooftop units, boilers, chillers, CAVs, water source heat pumps, VRF, vents, fans, ducted equipment, and VFDs
Ability to perform soft startup/precheck list
Soft Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product specifications
Knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials
Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy
Initiative and ability to perform additional duties as required
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
Projects in La Jolla, Coronado, San Marcos, and Chula Vista
Work Environment
Working hours are primarily 6 AM to 2:30 PM. During the school year, shifts may move to nights. Additionally, occasional shifts may include weekends
