Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift - Elon, NC
Description:
· Read blueprints or other materials to determine specifications,inspection and testing procedures, certification processes, packaging instructions, or measuring instruments required.
· Check finished goods before shipping, including ensuring that quantities, parts, stamps, packaging, instruction sheets,date codes, labels, and other items match the blueprints.
· Select samples from various orders and run pressure or other tests to ensure that parts are assembled according to the specifications.
· Record inspection or test data and quantities inspected, indicating whether the order was accepted or rejected using software on an iPad.
· Mark items with acceptance stickers or rejection forms based on quality inspections.
· Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems as needed.
· Troubleshoot and recommend necessary corrective actions for rejected orders or assembly issues.
· Provide the necessary gauges or tools needed for various assembly processes, including calibrating gauges.
· Perform floor audits to ensure that assembly and testing procedures are carried out according to the blueprints and that proper tools and settings are being used.
· Gather paperwork, including certifications, for various parts as needed.
