Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Shift: 1st

Pay: $30-$40

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor responsible for overseeing the maintenance of machinery and equipment in our establishment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC repair.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

  • Monitor machines and equipment to maintain efficiency and identify early signs of wear or malfunction.

  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.

  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.

  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.

  • Install special function and structural parts in devices.

  • Lubricate and clean shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

  • Start devices to test their performance.

  • Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.

  • Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

  • Install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.

  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.

  • Review manufacturers’ service manuals to determine the optimum frequency of preventative maintenance and set up in the computer system.

  • Confer with the Production Manager to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with the operation of the establishment.

  • Estimate costs of parts and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance.

  • Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance in the computer system.

  • Plan for the reconstruction or installation of new equipment, machinery, or buildings.

  • Work overtime as needed and on days when the plant is shut down.

  • Update IQMS accordingly.

  • Complete all daily scheduled preventive maintenance in IQMS.

  • Create work orders and schedule work to be done.

  • Read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates Degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

  • No specific certificates, licenses, or registrations required.
