Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Escondido, California

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will plan, coordinate, schedule and manage plant maintenance functions including the design, purchase, and evaluation of equipment and facility systems to ensure production requirements and schedules are met. Your primary goal is to maximize production throughput by minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing equipment effectiveness. In addition, you will lead and develop maintenance personnel, maintain plant utilities, and oversee maintenance activities including equipment installation and preventive maintenance procedures. You will also be responsible for compliance with environmental reporting requirements, management of facility expansion, construction, and equipment installation, as well as effective project management to complete projects on time and on budget.

Hard Skills

  • Technical expertise in manufacturing systems

  • Knowledge and proficiency in applying SQF code requirements

  • Effective project management skills

  • Understanding and production of CADD

Soft Skills

  • Ability to train and develop technicians

  • Cross-functional leadership

  • Effective management of Maintenance team work schedules

  • Support Safety functions and projects with awareness of OSHA guidelines

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Escondido, California.

Work Environment

This role is based in a food manufacturing setting, which can be loud and dirty. It involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
