Control Panel Wirer

Overview

This position is responsible for the wiring and final assembly of panel boards related to low and medium voltage switchgears. Control Panel Wirers will review a schematic and work order, gather materials such as wire, terminals and connectors, then run the wires within the control box, connecting components and circuit boards, will be necessary to inspect that all is wired accurately and neatly. The typical shift will be 1st shift (6AM-2:30PM) or 2nd shift (3PM-11:30PM). If interested in this position, then please apply today and an Aerotek Recruiter will reach out.

Responsibilities Include:

• Electrical controls panel and Buss wiring

• Follow wiring diagrams and schematics

• Install pre-wired panel into control box

• Terminate wiring based on schematics

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot

• Read, and understand blueprints, schematic drawings to determine wiring layout

• Inspect parts to find defects and ensure quality

Essential Skills:

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Panel Builder, Panel Wirer, or Electronic Technician working in a more job shop environment and not on an assembly line

• Must have knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics

• Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools

• Perform basic math functions including an understanding of fractions and decimals

• Must be able to read, write and converse fluently in English with the level of competency that will permit the applicant to function in the position

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
