Job Description
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing equipment, as well as performing routine maintenance and electrical repairs throughout the facility. This position requires night shift work, from 6pm to 6am, following a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 3 days off, and 3 days on, 2 days off.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot industrial controls, three-phase motor circuits, and basic electrical systems.
Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
Wire and hook up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressers, and transformers.
Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment or modify existing equipment.
Identify opportunities for electrical system improvements and communicate those to a supervisor or lead staff.
Identify and act upon incidents and safety risks, consistently practicing and enforcing safe work habits.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Essential Skills
Knowledge of electrical systems and schematics.
Knowledge of PLCs and VFDs.
Skill in reading, analyzing, and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
Skill in using hand and power tools.
Skill in operating a forklift, scissors lift, or similar equipment.
Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Skill in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
Skill in communicating professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to be a good representative of the company.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to work flexible hours.
