Job Title: CNC Machinist Programmer

Job Description

As a Machinist, you will set up and operate a variety of machines and machining equipment. You will prepare and maintain tooling, jigs, and fixtures associated with the equipment. Your role includes performing routine preventative and corrective maintenance functions and maintaining documentation required in mechanical manufacturing processes. You will run parts for the power generation industry with a focus on minimizing scrap.

Hard Skills

  • Use machining principles to operate CNC Mills and Lathes

  • Set up lathes and mills to run the part to completion on first run

  • Check program to ensure that the part will run without scrapping

  • Measure material using precision measuring equipment, including ID and OD Micrometers, Bore gauges, Depth gauges

  • Operate and maintain Haas, Daewoo, Cincinnati, Toyoda, Bridgeport machines

  • Alter programs to ensure correct speeds and feeds

  • Mastercam programming

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work independently
