Aerotek Production Supervisor in GALLATIN, Tennessee
Seeking a 3rd shift Production Supervisor in Gallatin, TN
Pay: Up to 75k
Shift: 3rd shift
Job description:
Supervises employees engaged in various production activities to meet customer-requested specifications in a manner to assure quality production at minimal cost in a safe work environment
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues
Control finished product and packaging inventories
Supervise, direct, train and provide leadership for 15-30 employees in the production department
Schedule and direct employees in assignment and completion of work to ensure the smooth flow of material through zinc dust production operations
Determine overtime work schedules and approve timecards
Monitor production output and quality data
Maintain time and production records through electronic database entry
Provide hands-on operation of production equipment with responsibility for optimizing recoveries
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
Analyze and resolve work related problems, and assist workers in resolving work related problems
Establish and maintain training program for production employees
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an industry-related field, or 4 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong working knowledge of inventory control systems
Computer proficiency, including MS Office and MS Outlook
Strong Excel and Access skills required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, be on-call, and travel occasionally
