Aerotek Wire Harness Assembler in Gilbert, Arizona

Job Title: Assembler 1st Shift

Job Description

As an Assembler on the 1st shift, your primary responsibility will be to strip, crimp, terminate, and perform continuity checks on wire assemblies. You will fabricate parts for wire or hardware assemblies at the production floor work stations, utilizing tools such as solder pots, solder irons, crimpers, wire cutters, wire strippers, laser wire strippers, digital calipers. You will work under the immediate supervision of assigned production lead(s) or supervisor, recording job hours into the company database, and adhering to company policies and procedures. You are expected to perform all work reliably, neatly, and professionally, striving to meet or exceed time goals for each job. You will also be expected to learn to utilize the ERP operating system related to production and job function, and follow written instructions or build to print to reach compliance with product requirements. Your goal will be to meet all company goals including high quality, safety, and 6S activities within your work area.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Gilbert, Arizona.

Work Environment

Our work environment is clean, quiet, and air-conditioned. We provide an agile framework of engineering, manufacturing, information technology, and logistics & supply chain services to the defense, aerospace, and industrial markets. Our team is made up of talented experts, with years of defense and industry experience, who reliably solve technical and programmatic problems related to aerospace design and manufacturing, as well as complex logistical challenges related to the delivery of critical infrastructure (Medical, Energy, IT and Transportation). Our dress code is casual, including T-shirts, jeans, and closed-toed shoes. We also provide 2 full weeks of in-class training where you will be certified by a trainer on the J-standards and IPC certs. This training is partially hands-on and partially written/reading training. Our 1st shift runs from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
