Aerotek MIG Welder in Glen Burnie, Maryland

Job Description

  • As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding as per blue print specifications, determining the appropriate welds, callouts, and positions to successfully complete the job.

  • Your primary tasks will involve MIG welding on Mild Steel and Stainless Steel, ranging from 7 gauge to 1/4''.

  • In addition to welding, you will be involved in cutting material, organizing and staging it for other team members.

  • You will also engage in fabrication tasks such as operating machines, grinding, cutting insulation, and finishing parts.

  • The role comprises approximately 80% welding and 20% other duties.

Hard Skills

  • MIG welding

  • TIG welding

  • STICK welding

  • Operation of single edge deburring machine

  • Operation of sheet metal shear

  • Operation of sheet metal punching machine

  • Basic shop math skills

  • Ability to read parts prints

  • Ability to accurately read tape measure and combination square

Soft Skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to follow directions

  • Strong work ethic

  • Good attendance and punctuality
