Job Title: Communications Technician II
Job Description
Seeking a motivated and professional Communications Technician II to join our dynamic team. This role requires a self-motivated individual who is positive in approach and can help create, develop, and implement project process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations. Responsibilities include performing the technical responsibilities of a Cable Installer, functioning as a lead member of a technical team, coordinating small groups of installers, adhering to safety and quality standards, installing work area outlets, building closets, completing all IDC connections, and performing various tests on cables. The role also demands physical activities such as working at heights, lifting up to 50 pounds, and distinguishing colors. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing project timelines, completing paperwork accurately and on time, and acting as a liaison with customer representatives.
Hard Skills
Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents
Proficiency with tools such as screwdrivers, drywall saws, tape measures, snips, pliers, hammers, cable strippers, punch tools, tone sets, and crimp tools
Experience in building out IDF closets from start to finish
Strong ability in pulling, terminating, and testing copper cables (Cat 5, Cat 6)
Experience pulling fiber

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Goodyear, Arizona.
Work Environment
The work environment involves new construction settings, indoors without HVAC, with work weeks ranging from 50-60 hours including some Saturdays.
