Aerotek Press Operator in Goshen, Indiana

Description:

Stamping facility in Goshen hiring 5-6 stamping press operators. The candidate will operate at least 2 presses at a time. They are responsible for setups along with the setup technicians (2-3 per day on average). They will set up each job and run a first piece to be inspected by a supervisor or a quality tech. They will attach a coil to an overhead crane and load it into the decoiler. Then they will setup the machine and run the press to produce 1000 - 4000 parts per hour. The operator is responsible for quality checks as well. They will have 30 minute logged checks as well as spot checks throughout the run.

The focus is 1st shift but if the candidate wants 2nd shift they can put them on that shift. $0.50 shift diff for 2nd.

1st shift: 6a-2:30p

Pay:

$16-18 for qualified candidate

$20-22 for candidate with 5+ years press operating and setup experience

Must Haves:

  • 3-5 years of automatic stamping press operating exp

  • Ability to read basic blueprints

  • Experience with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc)

  • Mechanically inclined

Would be nice:

  • Die setup experience

  • Mechanical troubleshooting
