Job Title: Packaging Operator

Job Description

As a Packaging Operator, you will be tasked with end-of-line duties that are crucial for the packaging process. Your responsibilities will include packing finished products into boxes, building new boxes for use, loading pallets with completed boxes, and using a manual pallet jack to move completed pallets from the area. You will rotate through different stations during your shift to ensure a comprehensive understanding and execution of all packaging tasks.

This is a fully on-site position in HAGERSTOWN, Maryland.

Work Environment

The work environment is a climate-controlled food manufacturing facility set to 42 degrees, requiring layered clothing to maintain warmth. Dress code includes sweatshirts (no hoods), sweaters, thermals, sweat pants, jeans, or heavy work pants with layers underneath. Safety shoes are mandatory, with a recommendation for composite toe over steel toe. You will be provided with a smock, gloves, hard hat, face shield, and hearing protection. The typical work shift extends beyond usual hours, often requiring staying late with mandatory work on Saturdays. One Saturday off every month may be possible if business allows. The second shift includes a $0.25 shift differential and typically involves working 48-55 hours per week.
