Aerotek Quality Inspector in Hampstead, Maryland

Description:

  • As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for performing various inspections on aerospace machined parts and assemblies

  • Throughout the manufacturing process these various inspections will include First piece inspections, in-process inspections, receiving inspections and final inspections

  • These inspections will be performed using tools such as but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gage, thread gage and a CMM

  • Inspectors should have the ability to interpret blueprints and be able to use those blueprints and specifications to determine if the product is compliant

  • The inspector will follow established work instructions/quality management system to verify all documentation is properly recorded and saved as required

  • The inspector will need written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work with other departments to ensure quality requirements are met

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing of products may be substituted for years with quality experience, the right candidate can be trained

  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in a shop environment

  • Working knowledge of hand inspection tools Calipers, Micrometers, thread Gages

  • Basic blueprint reading

  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft word and excel

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs
