Aerotek Quality Inspector in Hampstead, Maryland
Description:
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for performing various inspections on aerospace machined parts and assemblies
Throughout the manufacturing process these various inspections will include First piece inspections, in-process inspections, receiving inspections and final inspections
These inspections will be performed using tools such as but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gage, thread gage and a CMM
Inspectors should have the ability to interpret blueprints and be able to use those blueprints and specifications to determine if the product is compliant
The inspector will follow established work instructions/quality management system to verify all documentation is properly recorded and saved as required
The inspector will need written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work with other departments to ensure quality requirements are met
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing of products may be substituted for years with quality experience, the right candidate can be trained
Minimum of 1 year working experience in a shop environment
Working knowledge of hand inspection tools Calipers, Micrometers, thread Gages
Basic blueprint reading
Basic computer skills in Microsoft word and excel
Ability to lift 30 lbs
