Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, verification, and physical movement of inventory and non-inventory items within specific work areas. Your main tasks will include moving materials between cleanroom lay down area and system work area, conducting weekly cycle counts, logging material movements, expediting urgent material needs, and coordinating with Engineers to ensure availability of items for scheduled shifts. Additionally, you will prepare materials for return, interact with SAP Coordinators, and perform other assigned duties. You will also be required to read and interpret data, respond effectively to various situations, and learn and apply new skills.

Skills

  • Ability to perform physical material movements.

  • Physical material movement between Cleanroom Lay Down Area and System Work Area

  • Conduct weekly Cycle counts of inventory in System Work Area.

  • Logs material moved in/out of system work area and handed off to Engineers via computer system(s).

  • Expedites line down parts and urgent material needs to the appropriate work areas.

  • Coordinates with Engineers to ensure needed items are available for scheduled work for shift.

  • Logs material confirmations via computer systems to account for parts installed, used part returns, un-used part returns, and tool returns.

  • Performs activities related to: Daily Material Staging, Daily Material Returns, and System Work Area Organization.

  • Physical material movement between system work areas for re-allocations.

  • Preparation of materials to ensure proper identification, packaging, and completeness of items for return.

  • Interface with SAP Coordinators on completion of daily staging, returns, and material investigations.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.

  • Can observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.

  • Proficiency in logging material movements and confirmations via computer systems

  • Experience with material staging, returns, and organization

  • Ability to read and interpret data

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capacity to learn and apply new information or skills

  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage occasional heavy lifting

Cleanroom certification and training will be done at training facility in Hillsboro and will be 6-8 weeks. Once completed, employees will move to onsite material handling. Candidates with cleanroom material handling would be key to limit training time.

Shifts:

Front half week days

Sunday-Tuesday with Rotating Wednesdays

7:00am-7:00pm Hours

Back half week days

Thursday - Saturday with rotating Wednesdays

7:00am-7:00pm hours

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hillsboro, OR.

Work Environment

The role involves sitting, walking, and using hands extensively, adhering to gowning requirements in a cleanroom environment, and occasionally moving up to 50 pounds. The work environment is generally moderate in temperature and noise level. Periodic travel to regional and overseas sites for product support may be required.
