Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are a preferred global solutions provider for precision stainless and specialty alloy tubing products, serving diverse industries such as power generation, renewable energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, food and dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, and general commercial.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Mill machine to bend metal into pipe form.

• Change out metal rolls every 2-12 hours.

• Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical repairs, quality checks, and adjustments on the machines.

• Understand 3-phase, 480 volt systems to determine when to call for major electrical repairs.

• Perform minor tack welding (training provided).

• Conduct basic preventative maintenance on the machine.

Essential Skills

• Experience with calipers and micrometers.

• Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and think outside the box.

• Machining, maintenance, mechanic, or fabrication experience.

• 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and running machinery.

• Preventive maintenance skills.

• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.

• Mechanical and electrical knowledge.

• Basic welding and fabrication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance and welding/fabrication experience.

Work Environment

Our plant has roughly 100 employees working over 4 shifts in a non-union shop. We provide a very safe and friendly workplace. Shifts available include: Shift A: M-Th / 5:00am to 5:00pm, Shift B: M-Th / 5:00pm to 5:00am, Shift C: F-Sun / 5:00am to 5:00pm with a $6 premium, and Shift D: F-Sun / 5:00pm to 5:00am with an $8 premium. Training could last 3-6 months on the first shift (Mon-Thurs 5am-5pm). Employees will work roughly one Saturday a month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, Wisconsin.
