Aerotek Power Generation Mechanic in Jessup, Maryland

Job Title: Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a mid-high level Equipment Mechanic with experience in working with Diesel Pumps, Small-Mid Sized Generators, Excavators, Rollers and various small to mid sized Construction Equipment. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, triaging, inspecting, and repairing units. Tasks include changing alternators, batteries, compressors, starters, fuel pumps, and performing injector work on up to 4 cylinder motors. The role also involves working with pneumatics and air tools.

Hard Skills

  • Equipment diagnosis

  • Preventative maintenance

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Willingness to perform various tasks around the shop

  • Ability to respond to afterhours customer service calls on a rotation basis

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a shop environment and will often need to go into the yard to get pumps.

Training on forklift and overhead cranes will be provided. This role requires a team player who is willing to perform various tasks around the shop.
