Aerotek Machine Operator in Kent, Washington

Description:

The Machine Operators will be responsible for working in Fabric, Wire Draw, Field Fence, Furnaces, or Galvanizing. Candidates will need to be comfortable working on extremely large machines that primarily cut, splice, extend, and galvanize wire of various thickness.

Extremely high attention to detail since wire is constantly getting moved by forklifts, run at various heights in/out of machines, and 2 ton spindles are moved throughout the warehouse.

Must be comfortable operating machinery and lifting up to 50lbs. Davis wire is organized but not the cleanest environment so ideally someone who doesn't mind getting dirty.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Pay:$20hr-21hr (Swing shift differential 25 cents and night shift 35 cents union) can earn $2-$6 per hour on amount of product produced after training if working in the galvanizing department.

Swing shift: 3pm-11pm/ Night Shift 11pm-7:30am/ 12 days and 2 days off. Couple of day shift openings (7am-3:30pm)

High School Diploma preferred.

Experience working with large machines or operating heavy tools in a manufacturing environment.

Tell me about a time when you noticed a safety hazard or if not why it’s important to be safe?

Being on time means what? “ Showing up on time.

Must come in interview jeans and steel toe shoes. No baggy clothing or sweat pants safety hazard in the facility.
