CNC Machinist Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize lifting devices such as overhead cranes to move large parts, handle material, and operate a variety of CNC Machines including Horizontal and Vertical Mills. You will be responsible for operating various machines in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Operate and load a variety of CNC Machines including Horizontal and Vertical Mills.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and quality tools.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
Understand and utilize controls to regulate machining or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
Use lifting devices to move large parts safely.
Essential Skills
Experience operating CNC Machines.
Ability to understand Start, Stop, and Recovering program language.
Ability to understand written standard work instructions and blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with machine tool brands such as EDMG MORI, Giddings & Lewis, Giddings & the person, Junker Grinder systems, Waldrich-Coburg, Burkhardt+Weber, SW Twin Spindle machines, and Stama Twin Spindle machines.
Familiarity with controllers like Fanuc, Siemens, and proprietary systems (such as the person grinders).
Experience with ABB or Fanuc Robots.
Experience using chains and straps to safely move parts.
Experience working with larger parts that required the use of overhead cranes.

This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.71 - $28.68
